Glimpses of sunshine

The past few days have been gray and rainy and so I decided to try to find little things that make me smile just like the sun might. Here's what I found:

  • Being told that looking at my rain boots feels like being on LSD all the time.
  • Wading through puddles in said LSD boots.
  • Watching and hearing some boy come into class 20 minutes late, standing in the doorway just a little too long, stomping to the top level of the lecture hall, throwing his belongings down with a loud crash, and proceeding to eat something in a very loud and crinkly wrapper.
  • Sitting in a pretty much silent tram on my way home and suddenly realizing that someone behind me was snoring VERY loudly.
  • Watching an odd middle-aged man write "I LOVE YOU" (with a heart as the o in "you") in thin pencil on a telephone ad poster.
  • Kari Jobe's song "You are for me" and Hillsong's "Desert song".
  • Babysitting for probably two of the sweetest little Swedish kids (yep, swedish, not swiss).

Probably the best moment:

  • When the sun actually finally came out today! :)
